Innovator Visas

The UK Innovator Visa is designed for experienced entrepreneurs seeking to establish an innovative, viable, and scalable business in the UK. It offers a path to permanent residency and is ideal for individuals with groundbreaking business ideas that are endorsed by a recognised UK endorsing body.

Who Is the Innovator Visa For?

The Innovator Visa is for non-UK nationals who want to set up or run a business in the UK that is innovative, original, and not currently on the market. Applicants must have a minimum investment of £50,000, unless they are switching from the Start-up visa or already running a previously endorsed business.

A key requirement is obtaining an endorsement from an approved UK endorsing body, which will assess the business idea for innovation, viability, and scalability. In addition, applicants must meet English language and financial maintenance requirements.

Successful applicants are granted a 3-year visa, with the possibility to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 3 years, provided the business meets certain success criteria. The visa also allows dependants and offers flexibility to pursue additional business activities under the same endorsement.
